Hydra Information and RH issues

No so much of a question but a heads up.

I have a coolidor I use for isolation and as a stop off point to bring my RH up after shipping its usually sitting at 67 %.

Long story short I have all but a few boxes out of isolation and they have been sitting in this coolidor for a couple of weeks but I have not made any space in the fridge so I decided to drop the RH down to 60 % to get them down to may smokable range - just in case.

So I dropped the Hydra down to 60 % however my RH stuck at 67 % so I "released" the execess RH once a day in hopes of dropping the RH. Did this over 2 weeks no luck. I eventually turned off the Hydra - still no luck.

On a whim I removed the hydra and did a couple of releases now its solid at 59 % for the past two days.

Moral of the story is that active humidifiers may, although they are set and calibrated, still be releasing RH in excess of there set rates - I assume this is due to leaks between the cartrige and the fan unit or some other such thing. Just thought I would give a heads up incase anyone else struggles with this.
