Is a Magic Chef wine cooler OK for cigars?

Magic Chef 45 Bottle Wine Cooler - MCWC45A at The Home Depot

This is like a Vino but has a different name. Is this ok for cigars or will this dry them out or something? I looked around for a while but I couldn't find anything. TIA!

The feed back reviews on this unit refer to a compressor, Vinotemps use thermoelectric cooling.

Do you plan on using the cooling system?

If your not going to plug it in there is no issue.

I don't need to run the cooling system.

So even though it's cooled via a compressor, there will be no air leaking out of it if I'm not running it?

It will essentially act as a coolerdor if it's not plugged in, right?

I am not up to snuff on your exact model but I have a fridge I use as a coolidor and has a compressor and I have no issues with leaks.

Correct. If you're not running the compressor this should work.
