Re: Lighter repair

Any one? There has to be someone that can fix a lighter...right? All of my searches turn up shops in Europe.

Re: Lighter repair

Any authorized dealer in your area,,,they are usually in malls or google businesses that do repair work. Such is or was the beauty of Colibri and their warranty. I never did like their stuff and glad I only bought 2 in my lifetime of this product. They left everyone who had their lighters in the dark without so much as a " Here is where you can get warranty service" before they went bye bye. Classy business,,,I won't miss them. I'll take a Ronson lighter over their best product. Rant over.

I totally agree with you! I just wish there was a way to fix these, I have had them for so long.

All the shops here say Colibri left them with nothing as well. Nowhere to send them or anything. There are only four shops here and they all say the same thing.

Where are the guys that worked in their repair shop? Seems like a smalls business opportunity...

One of the shops did tell me that I can trade the Colibri in for for 20% a XIKAR...okay now that is tempting.

Shervin, really? One has a leak, sounds like it is coming from the flame adjustment knob, but I don't know for sure. The other one sparks and has gas, it just isn't in sync and wont light.

Now that is a brother coming up to the plate. Ya never know this may be a great sideline business as I read of so many people on here with lighter problems. Can they fix the Prometheus lazer lighter as well? It sparks but no flame. Use to be my favorite lighter.

Re: Lighter repair

Try purging the one that does not sync before sending it, refill and test, if it still does not catch the spark then it's worth looking at. The gas leak could be anything but if you're saying that it's coming from the bottom (adjustment knob) its probable that its time has come for a ceremonial burial, regardless if you'd like I would be glad to have a look.
