Need a good Lighter

I recently got a free butane lighter from CI with one of my orders. I love the way it works as far as its much easier and faster lighting my cigars but I have to fill it ever time I use it. By the time I finish lighting me and my wifes cigars it is completely empty. I know there are better lighters out there but I don't know which ones, so can anyone recommend a good lighter for the wife and I? Thanks in advance!!

I have a couple Ronson's from Walmart. Best $3 lighter ever. Lights every time and can be filled with the cheap stuff.

I use the Dupont X-tend, Cheaper lighters can be found, but finding a more reliable one may be tough. I've had mine years, without one problem...

Re: Need a good Lighter

If I were you before I buy any lighter I would consider some of the following:
1. Do you live at altitude?
2. Do you live in a windy environment?
3. Do you smoke larger ring gauge cigars?
4. Do you prefer soft or jet flames?
5. How hard are you on your lighter? (You may want a harder material)
6. How important is a warranty to you?
7. How much are you willing to spend in the long run (cost of lighter and fuel)
8. How do you light your cigar? (A long foot toasting will use more fuel)
9. How often do you relight? (Takes more fuel)

Some of these are pretty obvious, but I always recommend all of these thoughts to anyone who asks me that question. And yes I realize I didn't give you an answer to your original question. I didn't want people thinking I am trying to sell you anything on here. If you really must know it is the XIKAR Enigma.

Xikar's lifetime warranty is hard to beat, but what I appreciate is their customer service. It is outstanding, this I know from personal experience. Come to think of it I can't remember reading anything negative.

I couldn't find any at Wally World either. On recommendation from a BOTL, I found them at CVS pharmacy

Re: Need a good Lighter

I use a $3 gas station torch. Never have any issues with it. Had it for a while. It holds fluid pretty well.

They come and go out of stock pretty fast. Just keep checking by the cigarette register. I buy them there to give away as freebies!

Re: Need a good Lighter

Not the most aesthetically pleasing lighter, but if you want a large strong flame, cheap, and holds a ton of butane --- here ya go:

- Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices

If yours doesn't come with a sheath to protect it from being scratched, be sure to click on the link to order one.

I was having the same problem. Two Walmarts near me had an empty peg at the cash register since before Christmas. Then, the other day the peg was restocked, so I bought a couple. It's really random and timing is everything.
