I was online looking at the vino temp wine coolers does anyone use this as a humi and if so is there any thing special I need to do to it like put a oasis xl in there or do I just turn that puppy on and that is it. Also does anyone know if I can get special shelves that will hold single cigars or do I just use the metal rack that come with it. Can Please help out this new guy.

For now I just stack boxes on the wire shelves. I have some drawers coming from Chasden who you can PM from this site. I use beads and no extra fans. Stays @ 66 temp and 66-67 humi. I just leave mine on year round but I live down south. Just a suggestion but get the biggest one you can afford. The 18 will fill up fast.

Yep, I have the Vino 28 and the max temp is 66. The beads keep my humidity at 67 or 68...

Re: Vino temp wine cooler

This will be my first summer with my wine cooler, this mid-sized Avanti ( Wine Storage Cabinets | Wine Cabinet ) and I'm pretty excited for us to convert it into a cigar humidor for a few months! I swear, the recession has given us some ideas for creativity and multifunctional purposes in the house!
