Walmart Digital Hydrometer?

Well it's been about 12 hours since I started the salt test and the hydro is sitting at 72%. By the time I get home it will be 24 hours so I will end the test and make any mental notes as of how off it is. The bad thing is, the one I have sitting in my humi read 59% this morning after its been in there 12 hours. If, they are both only -3 off than that means my humi is sitting at 55%. Sure hate that , although my sticks are not dry and I don't have any burn issues. As a matter of fact when I checked my cigars yesterday I notice that my CAO Itaila that's been in there for about three months still had a nice shiney oily wrapper, looked so good.

I am going to swap out the hydro's today to salt test the other one and put the one that I KNOW is ready correct in my humi. Grant it, and I know, I still have the default humidifier that came with the humi. I'm gonna invest in some beads soon.

I have two of'm one is -2 the other is -4 but it's not hard to gage after a sticky say'in what there minus....

just grab 2 new ones and one is at -1 and the other is at -4

Thats the one I got well two of them, I just finished a 25 hour salt test on the first one and it's -3. Doing a test on the other one now

New here - I have two of the Walmart units. After testing, one is -6 and the other is -8. After testing I took a magic marker and wrote the appropriate number under the readout so I don't forget to add 6-8 to the readout.

I have an adjustable one, which I have dialed in but I could have bought four Walmart units for whay I paid for it.........

I have a walmart one, it's 2 off.

A don't trust a salt test unless 48 in tupperware, with distilled water, in darkness, and temp comtrolled area.

If you rush a salt test, you will only find yourself doing it all over again.

I have a springfield as well along with three Xikars. I love the xikars bc of their size but there is nothing wrong with the Sprinfield and mine is -1.

I have 2 of them and I haven't had any issues. One is exact, the other one is -2. I can live with that.

I calibrated my Springfield from Walmart, did the salt test for about 8 hours. It was 75 dead on.

For $6.50, this is probably the best deal out there, given the accuracy, and how small this thing is....if ou remove the clip behind the unit, and stick some velcro on the back, it doesn't take any more room, depth-wise than a small analog hygrometer....and it gives you temp which is another necessity.

I got another one coming for my tupperador.

Damn I should have gone for the springfield one instead of the acurite one at walmart. With a name like acurite I thought it would be better. But it is -5 off and instead of waiting through endless lines to return it I'll just make a note on it and see if I can pick up a springfield one while I am out trying to find some Ronson Jetlites

I have an acurite as well and it is more accurate than my springfield. I guess some are good and some arent

I just bought one of these last weekend for boxes I store in Dad's basement. 36hr salt test revealed +2% (77). No biggy.
