Walmart Digital Hydrometer?

Anyone ever use one of these. The name of it is Springfield, it's white and it cost 6.50/each. I have one I am doing a salt test on and the other is in my humi. The one in the humi is reading 57%. I hope that is wrong being as my analog hydro is reading 70%. I did a 10 hour salt test on the analog and adjusted it accordingly but I'm affraid it's not reading right. Anyway has anyone use/using one of these digital ones from walmart? If so how does it work for you?

You'll find that a lot of people on here use the Walmart hygrometers with much success. After calibration, I would definitely trust that over an analog hygrometer. That being said, make sure to calibrate ALL your hygrometers before using them, as they can vary considerably from one to the next. Try searching around on the forum, and you'll find much discussion on hygrometers, including the Springfield you mention.

I use one and it reads a -3 with a salt test but i see no way to calibrate it.

I have 2 and they are both -2.

I use the Accurite hygrometer and they are pretty accurate,,+/- 2 degrees,,,I can live with that.

When i salt checked my wally world hygros I tested them for 24 to 36 hrs. i dont think 10 is enough.

Forgot to mention, per Koby, I did my salt test on my Wally World items for 18 hrs before they stabilized

I have 6 of the Acurite hydrometer. They are perfect for me. The best is -1 the worst is -5. I think I paid $5.50. Can't beat it for the price. I broke off the clasp/magnet on the back and then sanded them smooth. Then using stick on velcro dots (4 on each) attached them to the inside lid of the humis. Works great and looks good. They work as well as my fancy $30 one.

So I bought one of these Walmart Digital Hydrometers

drooped it 2.5 feet onto carpet,,

broken never again

Bought a Wally one and returned it is was 15 off on the RH after the salt test....

WOW! ive got 4 of em and the highest mine were of was about 3 or 4.
