Puckifier over humidifying

I accidentally put too much water in a 50 ct 65% RH puckifier (3 tsp instead of 1-2 tsp). All of the beads were saturated, so i took them out and let them dry on a paper towel for a day. Now they are back in the puck and my desktop humidor went up to around 75% RH. I was wondering if there is a way to speed up drying out of the beads. I guess the problem is since the beads are saturated they are not able to extract any moisture from the air and are actually increasing the humidity?

Hello,

Simply spread the RH Beads that are inside the Puck-ifier on a cookie sheet and use a hair dryer set on LOW.

You will see the RH Beads turn from wet (clear) to dry (milky white).

I hope this helps and thanks again!

Or in oven on 350F and wait ten or fifteen.

Blowdryer will blow those things around like confetti

Putting some dry cedar liike the sheets from a cab will also help absorb any excess humidity.

350 might melt the puck. I've always heard between Warm and 200 degrees.

Re: Puckifier over humidifying

Take them out of the puck, and put them on tinfoil.

I melted part of the puck with a hairdryer.
