The bag is fitted back into the case with the maximum amount of beads that will fit.

The spray bottle is filled with distilled water – and that is used to charge the beads.

Humidifier is now updated to the best it can be and reinstalled in the humidor.

The mesh bags are sold on Vipers website right along with the beads. You don't have to use them - pantyhose also works - but I was feeling like a big spender that day and forked over the extra two bucks -

Re: Newbie Read - Updating Your Humidifier

I tried doing this to my new humi which is a 100 count the only issue is that the old credo isnt very thick and I cannot put enough beads in the bag to keep the whole humi humidified. Great idea for a small desktop humi

Hmmmm - normally the credo size is correct for the humidor count so it may be that the mesh bag is taking up way to much room. I have done several where I just took some mesh and hot glued it over the openings - and then installed the beads. You can fit a lot more in that way. Matter of fact it was one of the Ashton humidifiers with a flat back but curved front. The design and amount of screw mounts kept me from using a bag - but the screen over the front worked out perfect.
