Light time with your Xikar lighters?

Hey guys, im interested in getting a Xikar lighter do to their lifetime warranty and from what i hear excelent customer service. Im not looking to spend a ton really, in fact i was looking at the executive for around $20. But my question is, what kind of light times are you guys getting with these lighters? Am i going to have to refill it everytime if i like to slow toast the foot?

Are there Xikar lighters that have a bigger fuel capacity at the lower price range? Id at least like something that can light at least 3-4 gars between refills.

Thanks again, you guys rock!

---Joe

I have the executive lighter. 3-4 cigars wouldn't be a problem between refills. Though I don't use the xikar anymore because of the constant need to refill it.Been using the blazer pb-207 which has a huge tank.

Cool, thanks. How long would you say it takes you to light each stick?

Anyone know if all xikar tanks hold the same fluid, or do some have larger tanks?

It doesn't really take that long to light a cigar as compared to other torches.

Excellent question and thanks for providing the information about the slow toast. If you are looking for an inexpensive model the Executive, Incline or Plunge will do the trick for you.

Personally, I like the Enigma Double Jet lighter. It lasts me about a week to a week and a half, however I more than likely do not toast as long as you do.

If you don't mind spending a few extra dollars and are not set on having a jet flame, the EX lighter is the way to go. The butane in those goes a very long way and they are windproof.

Re: Light time with your Xikar lighters?

I have the Executive and also the Element. Both great lighters.

For me, the flame on the Executive is a little too small and really doesn't cover enough surface area when lighting. The Element has a nice diameter of the jets and they come together to make a large area to toast the cigar and get it going. I refill mine probably twice a week and I smoke 1 cigar a day... I also have a habit of playing with my lighter while smoking.

I had an Executive and loved it! Left it sitting on my bumper one day and lost it. Anyway I like the single torch and take my time lighting my cigars, and it would last me prob 10 cigars are better. I really need to get me a new one!

Re: Light time with your Xikar lighters?

Thanks guys. As of right now i think i still may be lending towards the executive simply because im just starting out and its really cost effective. I wanna have enough money left over for a xi3 cutter. Besides, ill probaly be only smoking 1 stick a week, except for special weekends.

Besides, im sure this wont be my only lighter. Ill have more in the future.

I have the executive also and I love it. Of course the height that you keep the flam also dictates how much you can get out of one tank. If I keep it at medium, I can light about 6 cigars.

Also I know you are looking into a Xikar cutter, but look into the Palio also. Very, very good cutters. Also A lifetime warranty, you can take it into any dealer for an exchange if it breaks. Check out the website.

Re: Light time with your Xikar lighters?

i have had the executive and now also have the Enigma Double Jet lighter. Bothe great lighters!. I smoke 3 a day at the moment and have 2 fill the Enigma twice a wekk its pretty windy here so that may waste some fuel. To give u a heads up on lighter care make sure u purge the gas from the lighter before u refill it. Other wise u will run into probs and make sure to use good fuel and they will last for yrs!....
