'No name' brand sillica gel found in Canada in my winodoor
Hi everyone ! Here's my first post.
I came onto cheap silica litter (the No-Name brand) in my Provigo supermarket and decide to choose it for humidifcation. My first wine-o-door is made with a very small 8 bottle winecooler at about 60 deg and populated with some Oliva G and Perdomo Fresco, The litter is made from 100% silica gel. Nothing else, no blue or red colored stuff!! Tough I could give it a try.. So I placed about 4lbs of them in small tupperware without their lids, sprayed the content with a looooooot of distilled water (until they become almost all clear). I decided to help RH to rise by adding some brumification on start. First hour or 2 : 60-64% After one day: 55-59% Is this related to my very low temp ? What can I do to increase RH to a safer 65% ? Thanks in advance for your appreciated help! |
