stories of bad things happening to good lighters and prevailing

I was just reminiscing of the time my xtend went through the wash and when I found it the next morning took it apart dried it and worked perfectly like ussual. anyone else have miracle things happen like that?

Did that with my Ronson and when I pulled it out I fired it up and the damn thing worked,,,,which is why I went out and bought a dozen more. If this lighter can take that kind of abuse then I'm sold. I once put a Prometheus in the water by mistake when I went swimming and jumped out and never could get that $100 POS lighter to work again.

My Ronson has went swimming with me many times. It has also been dropped in the sand at the beach a few times. It is indestructable!

Yeah I agree my ronsons work like a charm, but even for the price...I heard (I believe on this forum) someone who actually drove over their xtend and it didnt break. that I find impressive. ofcourse that being said the ronson could probably take that abuse as well.
