What can I use?
I currently working on a cooler project. I have some boxes that I want to line the bottom of the cooler with. My question is; What kind of glue can I use to attach the cedar to the cooler that won't have fumes?

Those look neat, I wonder if I can get them locally?
Any other suggestions? |

Re: What can I use?
Use a hot glue gun.
You can also use a water based silicone caulk, but you'll have to wait until it fully cures to get rid of the vinegar smell. I have also heard of people using double sided tape, but I would give it the smell test before trying it. Honestly, there is no need to line the cooler, Just fill it up with empty boxes. You'll rarely see the bottom of the cooler once you start putting sticks in, and I have observed that very few people with coolers ever see a reduction in cigar count. The empty boxes will also help buffer your humidity when you open the cooler, as there is less open air to escape (kind of like putting a brick in the toilet tank to save water). Best of all, you don't need any shelves since everything is contained in boxes. |
