Humi setup questions
OK, I just set up my new humidor, and I have a question about how I place my humidification devices - in this case containers of gel. My questions are, are there enough gel containers? And, are they placed in the best places.
On the tray, I have a tube on each side. ![]() In the bottom I have a container in each of the three sections. In the one on the left and the one in the middle they are the small tubs with black lids at the top. In the compartment on the right i have another tube that is at the bottom of all those cigars. ![]() My main concern is the bottom right compartment. What do you guys/gals think? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Humi setup questions
I have a couple of 150 ct humidors that I just put the containers in the bottom and have had no problem with humidity at all. I keep my hygrometer in the top and it stays a constant 65%. I wouldn't think you would have any problem with your setup.
Just my .02, others may see different.

Re: Humi setup questions
Each one of those tubes is rated for a 25 cigar humi I think. It looks like you have it covered well. You should be alright, just keep an eye on your hygrometer for awhile to make sure it holds steady. I would consider doublestacking on the bottom row in the center compartment or on the top shelf next to the hygrometer. I think you'll get more benefit from the humidifying gells if cigars aren't stacked directly on top of it. There's little air space in that humidor with the cigars in it.

Re: Humi setup questions
So long as you are maintaining good humidity levels, you're fine.
However, the more you buy, the less often you need to re-fill them. The more you scatter them, the more consistent your humidity will be throughout. |

Re: Humi setup questions
Personally, Id put them all on the bottom and alternate the direction of the caps. As far as quantity, you've covered it.
