Trick to opening up cigar oasis resivoir?
I would love to take the floral foam out of my cigar oasis and replace it with beads. Seems like I have heard of a few people doing it but cannot figure out how to get it apart, short of taking a dremmel to it and then epoxy it back together. If anyone knows of a trick for this it would be appreciated!

I think the trick is to pick the foam out with a screwdriver.

Cannot believe I did not think of this . Thanks for the tip! Next question would be if I need to worry about the fan sucking up the beads? I was thinking of putting screens over the openings but if others have just broke the foam up and fished it out I guess I don't need to worry?

lots of good info in the link I posted.. seems beads really don't work well as a replacement, but the gel seems to work better.

Before you tear it up I don't need the big black one anymore since I got the new moist-n-aire. it's yours if you want it. The top come off and you can pour them in and try different kinds, If they don't work just dump them out.

I removed the foam from mine over a year ago by using a metal clothes hanger. I was able to bend it so it could be moved deeper into the container. I periodically rinsed it under a faucet to flush out the smaller pieces. It really didn't take too long at all to get it all cleared out.

Thanks for the tip there Maqdad. This seems to be the excepted method, although I'm just going to skip this as my uncle has graciously offered to give me a extra Oasis II he does not need anymore. And the Cigar Oasis XL I have is a little small for the new cabinet I have on the way.
