butane - drug store or 3x, 4x, 5x filtered?

I thought that was the whole reason behind using butane to begin with was It's convenience, relatively odorless , & flavorless characteristics?

The more filtered the better for your lighter. I've even been told not to put Vector fuel in my new X-tend, which suprised me. They said use only Dupont or Xikar. I'll guess I'll take their word for it, but the little cans of Dupunt fuel run around $11!!!!

For $11 a can I gotta believe they are trying to keep your business.

Now you all have me wondering if when I switched fuels, there wasn't some psychological effect ... lol. I'm going to smoke two mild cigars at a time next weekend. One lit with crappy dimestore butane and one with some high-end. Same amount of time to light. I'll take some notes. All in the name of science of course.

However, I recently switched from 3x to 5x butane and noticed a huge difference in the quality of the lighters burn. I thought the 5x was just hype.... until I tried it!
