No digital hygrometers to be found.

Ive called everywhere in my home town to see if they have digital hygrometers and guess what they dont! My humidor comes in tomorrow and i dont know where to get the water to use in it for conditioning and i dont know where to get a hygrometer...oh the stogie woes.

Do yourself a favor, and buy a multi-sensor wireless setup like this one: CLICKY

Since you'll probably wind up with at least two humidors and a coolerdor, or some other combination, having the ability to wirelessly monitor temperature and RH in three locations without opening the box is a blessing. And it winds up being less than 3x the Western Caliber III's, if you can manage to get one of these jammies on sale.

That is the best hygrometer I have ever had. Got the EXACT same one on sale at my local radio shack, $17.99! It's dead on accurate at 70% with Viper's beads.

Go to farmer jack and get a gallon of distilled water for $.99. Are you using the beads? If not you should be. If you are, you'll be alright without the hygro for a few days. Go to radio shack and have them order you one, its worth it. OR you can get the western caliber 3, which is popular but I have never tried it. You can order it online.

You shouldn't stress out about it, smoking cigars should be relaxing.

Nope dont have the beads. I was gonna use the onboard humidifier. ill probably pick up one of those when i can get a ride, since i cant drive right now due to a torn acl and minscous

Your in luck - you don't need to drive anywhere to get the beads.

Toss out whatever humidifier that comes with your new humidor - then CLICK HERE to get the viper beads.

the meaters from RS are sweet and +1/-1 there pretty accuarate and for the money you cant beat it

i have 3remote meaters and the main unit in mine
depending how big your humidor is you might want more than one remote

Has anybody ever seen a digital hygrometer that you can adjust the setting to make it accurate. For example you put it in a bag with 70% beads from Viper and it reads 68% so you can adjust it up 2%. Does that make sense?
