That's one way to do it. To season mine I use a small bowl filled 3/4 full with distilled water and leave it sealed for about 4-6 days. It takes a little longer this way, but I have had a problem with the cedar warping on me before using the sponge method, and I get steadier RH this way. Just my

Well guys last night i seasoned my humidor. i did all the steps whiping the inside with a towel that was moist with distilled water. I also filled a shot glass with distilled water. Im gonna post some pictures soon because I know you all like the ****.

Before I put my shot glass of distilled in my humi, I put it in the microwave for 25 sec. When it goes in the humi, it gets it nice and humid, and then the box soaks it in, after about a day, it is about 70rh in the box, and then it calms down a bit once you put the sticks in.

If doing this with a small tupperware bowl be careful. The water will turn a faint brownish color from the cedar. Let's just leave it that the wife was not happy about the Tupperwares new color.
