coffin for bead holder

i was wondering, has anyone tried using a cigar coffin box to hold beads? will this cause the wood to mold? will the cedar lined plywood sampler boxes work?

thanks,

sean

I'm not an expert on the beads, but I can't see why they would cause any mold to develop. The wood won't be in direct contact with any liquid. I'm assuming you'd be using something to keep them from coming out, like some old pantyhose or something. I keep mine in some, and it rests on/next to boxes in my cooler with no problem.

I don't see a problem with it as long as the coffin you are using is cedar. Give it a shot and then let us know any ill effects. I have some of the RP series A size coffins that I was thinking about using later - just cause it looks good.

Re: coffin for bead holder

I've done it and it works fine. As RGD stated go for the plain cedar coffins if you have them.
