what percentage humi beads ??

I live in Florida and I recently created my first tuperdor. It is only a 23 gallon rubbermaid container. Right now I have about 30 cigars and one drymistat tube in there. I have my cigars in cedar boxes that I bought to serve a dual purpose of separating the cigars and to make use of the cedar in the boxes. I am on the way to radio shack to buy a digital hygrometer.
I realize the one tube of drymistat is not enough, but thought it would be okay until I receive my beads.
My question is....I am in the Tampa/St. Pete area in Florida and it is humid, so would be better off buying the 65% beads?

A humble thanks, from this novice.

Re: what percentage humi beads ??

The humi beads will add and take away moisture so 65% will keep a controlled environment at 65% If you need to know how much to buy ask the dealer...he can do the math and tell you what you need...don't ask Bigwaved-he is terrible at math!

BTW welcome to the jungle from a Gal to a Chick

Cigargal...Thanks. Hey that's quite a large cigar you've got there

Thank you all for the quick responses and hello to my neighbor in Brandon.

Yes, here goes the downward slide. I started smoking a cigar or two here and there about 6 months ago. Now my curiosity has developed into full blown obsession. Oh well, at least I am in good company.

65% is very popular around here. My friend swears by 70%. Me, I have a ziploc-a-dor, so...well, I had better defer.

65% here, too. Based on the research I did here some time back, the consensus among gorillas-in-the-know was that it was better for both smoking, and for long term aging.

Re: what percentage humi beads ??

65% is what I like, go to Viper's page www.heartfeltindustries.com and order some.

On the bead setup page he has the step by step to figure out how much you need.

Oh and Welcome to the jungle
