What do you think of this humidor and glass humidors in general?

I'm looking for something exactly like this:

http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot.cfm?lotID=365595

I want something I can also use as a nice piece of furniture (next to my bed), display my collection (large glass front), and store a decent number of sticks (600 is good for me).

The humidor above is EXACTLY what I want mine to look like and I'm really tempted to bid on it but I want to make sure it's a decent unit and that it won't be too difficult to maintain the humidity in it. I plan on getting a cigar oasis when I can afford one.

What do you guys think?

Re: What do you think of this humidor and glass humidors in general?

Dual pane glass door; nice. Storage size, 600.. nice.

Hell, I looked these up and they run for $600 (little too expensive for my taste) and if the price got that high, I'd probably end up looking for something larger, something in the 1400 ct. area...

If you end up getting it, and you have sealant problems, you can get some weathering strips from Home Depot/Lowes.

Might want to wait until other's chime in, see what they think.

Like I said, if it got as high as $600, I'd end up going with something like this here.

But I'd never have $600 to spend, and a coolerdor/freezerdor would be my next one, anyways.

Good Luck,

Kelso

Re: What do you think of this humidor and glass humidors in general?

Thanks alot for your response. I definately won't be paying $600 for this one. I've seen them get up to $250 on CBid but hopefully that won't happen because even that is more than I can afford right now. I would be willing to pay $250 if I had it and you guys say this is a decent unit.

Joey:

Here are two options for your budget.

Vicksburg - holds 500 cigars - $125
http://www.bargainhumidors.com/bh/Pr...ductid=HUM-BH2

Geneve - holds 500 cigars - $230
http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Merchan...ode=LGHUMIDORS

Both are reportedly reliable vendors -- from what I have heard.

I have two of these and love them. You might want to PM djmoniz. He has a nice humi for sale in the WTS forum that you can't see. 600 count for $110 shipped! Here it is:

Yeah it is! I, almost, wish I was in the market for one. If I were, I would grab it.

That does look nice and it's definately in my price range. When does the WTS forum become available for viewing for new people?

Damn, I was a little too late

Any other leads? I really like that particular humidor. How much are those usually, including shipping?

I just acquired the Vicksburg for my first humi. It's pretty nice considering the price.
