Humibeads aluminum holder...help

I have a 2 oz aluminum humibead tray and the felt sticky pads don't hold it up. It seems to be too heavy. Any ideas on getting this to stick to the lid??

I use self adhesive magnets for my humi accesories. You can get them at most hardware and craft stores. The kind with the peel off backing.

Re: Humibeads aluminum holder...help

The four velcro pads I sent with it did not hold it up? This is the first time this has happened, let me know so I know if I have to make changes.

They didn't hold, but I am thinking that I didn't let them sit long enough. I bought strips and that seemed to work-more surface.

I don't know how much magnetic strips would run in bulk - I just get mine at Home Depot - but I always end up changing out velcro over to magnets, normally right from the start. I also find that you don't need as much surface area of magnet verse velcro.

I bought some heavy Velcro that seemed to do the trick for me.

Re: Humibeads aluminum holder...help

Radio Shack has an item called "Superlock Fasteners" Best described as a ridgid velcro where both sides are the same material. They have them in two versions of adhesive - regular and Hi-Temp. I have a couple of things attached to various vertical and horixzontal surfaces int he car using the hi-temp version and nothing has come loose yet, even in the heat of a parked locked car. I'e also seen them used to secure a laptop to a galvanized pipe floor mount for a mobile laptop mount for GPS use.
