Cigar tubes to hold beads

Hello all I have checked the threads and have found some chatter but not to much about taking plastic cheap cigar tubes ( I used Garcia Y Vega tube, Tossed the cigar it smelled like vomit) and poking tons of little holes in them to hold the world renown heartfelt beads. I was wondering if anyone has any feedback on this method...I used a pin from one of those cork boards, the ones with the big colored plastic part on the back...Is this whole big enough...Its small enough beads wont pass which is nice. I'm building a coolerdor.

Panty hose works best unless you want to buy the sacks from Viper.

Yep - pantyhose or any mesh bag that will keep the beads in place. Remember that your looking for surface volume to get the best use out of the beads.

I put beads in pantyhose, too. Another option (which I use for my traveldor) is to take an aluminum cigar tube and drill small holes in it and then line it with a cedar sleeve and then fill with beads. Works like a charm.

Will poking lots of little holes in these tubes work though?

or is panty hose way batter...and since I'm using 2.5oz of beads in my new coolerdor should i use several pouches or just one?

My
I think those tubes will work o.k. but I would drill larger holes and line with a cedar sheet. The sheets are porous enough but keep the beads in the tube.
Check out the second pic in the first post of this thread.

For a cooler, I think the pantyhose works best. One should be fine.

No worries about the questions.
I would just set the knotted hose on top of one of the boxes.
Check out this pic. The beads are in a navy blue stocking on the right.

Re: Cigar tubes to hold beads

I used a RyJ tube that I drilled holes in, and just dropped the beads right in. There's a pic of my setup here. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Cheers!
