Hey,

I would go with the blazer. It is a better lighter IMHO by far than just about any other lighter on the market. Dupont makes good lighters, but paying over $100 is like paying a $100 for sunglasses! A friggin' waste of time!

I love my $150.00 Ray Ban sunglasses (cheap sunglasses causes me to get a headache)

I love all 3 of my Dupont lighters, 2 Xtends (did have 3, sold one) and one Ligne 2 (cheap lighters give me a headache also )

I also have my share of cheap lighters around most of them in a drawer not working.

I have always been the type person to try and buy quality products. It more of a value to me to enjoy something of quality for along time then be frustrated with cheap products. To each his own.....Buy what you like and makes you happy, that is what matters. RJT

I've had mine for 7 years now and it finally will not lite.
I've only used lava fuel in it so it's not clogged.
It makes the ping and the fuel hisses out when open but will not light.
I'm going to call their service dept tomorrow
I'll be darn I looked closely at my adjustment screw and there IS a number there. Thanks.

Smile Re: Blazer PB207 / STDupont X-Tend...

Received my new X-Tend lighter yesterday!!! I got the gloss silver.

WOW! I'm impressed!!
We're in the middle of a heat wave here in NY....I usually smoke a cigar during my lunch hour. I was not going to sit out today in this heat! I hope to light its first cigar tonight!

(And answering my own question from a few days ago, yeah I too saw the serial number on the flame adjustment screw)

No flints in the Xtend, only the "soft flame" lighters.
