If you like it, go for it! I would say with almost 14,000 feedbacks, 98% positive, they're ok.

Re: Display Humidor

I got a 150ct humi for $47 from them about a month ago since my 125ct was almost full and it came in even nicer than it looked on Ebay. I believe you will be happy. I am now seriously thinking of selling it and building a coolerdor. Damn hobby.

That is a standard progression. You will always be going bigger, so might as well save a bit and go big from the beginning. Just my

Ebay doesn't always sell things cheap, think of cigar bid. Sometimes you get a bargin and other times people bid well over retail. So ebay sellers make good money off some lose money on others.

Ebay also ups the shipping sometimes to make up some of the loss.

This one was a steal period, hope you jumped on it.

Re: Display Humidor

I hope you haven't made the purchase yet. This seller is one of eBay's least desirable sellers, despite the 98.1 rating. Most buyers would prefer to not leave feedback than leave a negative for fear of retaliation. The selling price is fairly cheap but he makes his profit on shipping fees that are often 3 times the norm. He also adds extra in for insurance when it is free from UPS or Fedex.

Also, note that this particular box is about 3/4 the size of its look-alikes sold by other more reputable sellers. This guy cannot possibly sell humidors as cheaply as he makes it look without cutting lots of corners. The exterior is most likely a printed veneer, and knowing that discount manufacturers substitute other woods for Spanish cedar I would seriously doubt the claim of Spanish cedar (though I do not know for sure from looking at the photo). However, since he does state that the glass is acrylic (plastic). I think it’s an easy assumption that other corners have been cut. I think this is a cheap box all around. The seller does not seem to have any expertise and is only selling humidors to augment his other sales of toilet seats and $9.99 poker chip sets with $50.00 shipping.

There are lots of other reputable sellers on eBay, and now is a good time to shop because business seems to be slow for the summer.

Re: Display Humidor

I have no idea how the quality of the humidors are and maybe some people who has actually bought some from him can testify...

But in his defense, it is a fairly common practice to set the prices very low and the shipping very high to not only attract attention but to avoid paying higher listing fees to ebay. So that shouldn't make the guy any less legit.

I would like to know some solid evidence on the quality of the humidors he's selling because I was very close to purchasing one mysellf.

I got it in the mail and the packaging was very good. Proper box size, styrofoam fit & plastic bag.

The exterior is a printed veneer
the glass is acrylic (plastic).
have no idea about the cedar. it looks like it but i cannot tell
the shelves are on pegs and the dividers have rubber on the edges

i am priming it now with my beads but as far as i can tell its works and it looks real nice. it displays my cigars and is very nice to look at

i am happy with the whole deal right now
