OMG I HAD A STROKE OF GENIUS...or at least I did I did.

Why not connect the J-line that collects your condensation to your humidifier?

Who knows you might never have to refill the humidifier again!

Flame away all!

Re: Getting Close To Finish: My Cabinet Humidor

So...... thanks to this VERY inspiring thread by Ron and all the helpful emails back and forth to him, I have purchased my very own Peltier Cooler for my Cabinet Humi.

Its a larger one so it should cool very well and hopefully with very little output from the cooler itself (since its so big). I'll post pics when the unit arrives and when we begin to cut into my baby... whose name is Devon by the way (the humi, not the cooler ).

Thanks Ron, you the man!

This project is amazing. I am moving into a house in the next couple of weeks and it is my hope that I will be able to complete a project like this. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Wow Ron looking good You are an inspiration to anybody who wants to build a cabinet humidor like yours. I can build something like that but as for the cooling part that you did, i could never. I might be contacting you in the future on how you did it. Nice work.

Re: Getting Close To Finish: My Cabinet Humidor

Thanks for the notes everyone! As an update - still not done. Not to far from being done though. My little surgery mis-hap in January has put a big damper on it all. Hopefully I can get back to it here in a few weeks.

No problem guy - you build the cabinet and I will walk you through on adding cooling -
Just keep in mind that you should design in the area where the electronics will go.

Re: Getting Close To Finish: My Cabinet Humidor

awesome work Ron! Thanks for sharing the step-by-step progress with us. Your craftsmanship is outstanding and an inspiration for the DIYers here. Thanks also for the tip on checking out CS as well for humidor-building info. Don't know what health related issues you have, but hope all is well and your back in your shop, or least able to enjoy your cigars. Keep us updated, as I see its been awhile since your posted on this thread.
