That link is for the Blazer, they are the same lighter but you need the receipt, since it was a group buy maybe Ronnie could set you up with the receipt but I am not sure how the details will work out, the blazer and the prince are assembled in different places. With out warranty it costs 25 to fix, more than the lighter costs on the group buys, plus if they couldn't fix it they will send you a blazer with a child lock .

I have taken my Prince apart, I just like to do that kind of thing, and it is not one of the easiest I have ever worked on. It sounds like one of a couple of problems, the jet is clogged (poor fuels will leave residue behind and eventually clog the jet), or the button click has somehow stopped opening the gas valve.

You could send me the lighter and I can see if I can fix it, if not I ordered a bunch of extras from my group buy and I would send you a new one. I can then get in touch with the vendor and tell them I have a defective one.

Re: Prince Torch lighter

Another possible "repair" you could try if you have another jet lighter is to aim the jet at the PB-207 and try lighting the PB-207. Somtimes carbon buildup from cheap butane can plug the base of the jet. The heat of the second torch can help to break loose the clog. I have fixed a couple Nibos with my PB-207 this way.

I haven't had my PB-207 clog before, but I haven't put Ronson into it. My Roburn MT-770 will run fine on Ronson, but the tubes that deliver the butane to the torch head are a lot thicker than in pocket sized lighters.

Once you have the lighter fixed, use King, Lava, Vector KGM, or any other triple refined + fluid.

Re: Prince Torch lighter

Marianne,

Did you find a solution to your problem? Mine has also been giving me a lot of grief. Some times it works great, other times, not so great. Lately, it has been in the "not so great" category, and I've had trouble lighting the last few cigars. Since I smoke about (1) a week, it's been a problem for a few weeks.

It sputters a lot, goes out after on a second or two.. if there is a flame near it (using a second lighter) it will light, but it will go out as soon as the flame is removed.

I'm lucky if I can get it to light for more than 5 seconds at a time, and that usually takes about 5 minutes of clicking.

The only fuel I've been able to find here has been Colibri.

Fuel comes out, I know because I've locked the igniter back and just let fuel draid to make sure.. just, won't stay lit..

Re: Prince Torch lighter

I just completed tearing my PB-207 apart to improve the function. It was sputtering intermittently and the flame was too short even when at the max adjustment. I took it apart, cleaned up the jet nozzels with a stiff toothbrush and cleaning solution, then reassembled it. After screwing the reassembly up...El Douche Grande style...I figured out the errors of my ways. It now works like a champ!

Initially I had the sputtering problem with mine. I purged it completely and refilled .................no problems since!
