Refilling my PB-207 w/ Vector gets MESSY!

Any idea what I could do diff to avoid lighter fluid pouring all over my hand etc.?

I use vector, and have experimented with the rubber nozzles that came with the vector a bit with my Xikar exec and its always a messy proposition. I fill the lighters upside down and just end up kind of bearing the cold liquid on my left hand. The PB-207 is brand new to me (THanks to Germantown Rob) and wondered if anyone found a way to make this process work smoother, or if you guys had had better luck with the lil red rubeer nipples that came with the vector can...

Thanks in advance folks.

My PB-207 only overflows when full using the butane w/o any of the adaptors.
Come to think of it all of my butane lighters do the same thing.

I use no adaptors and it was a mess for me as well. I have no answers yet.

Don't use any of the Vector adapters with my PB-207. Yep, it's a little messy. But, my hand hasn't rotted off yet ...

Same here such a small amount is lost I haven't investigated using any of the tips supplied. How about using a towel to hold the blazer?

My smaller Blazer works better if I do a small purge first. It has mostly stopped blowing past the nozzle while filling after I started relieving some of the pressure in the lighter first.

Try two things.

1.) Make sure you are completely vertical with the can

2.) Instead of one continuous blast, try short spurts of fuel until full. (short spurts without turning the lighter back up to prevent air bubble...ie keep the can nozzle in the lighter valve and upside down the entire time).

Re: Refilling my PB-207 w/ Vector gets MESSY!

I work at a tobacco store and from time to time I help people fill their butane lighters, its never been a fancy lighter or butane but, I noticed I have much better luck with the butane with a plastic tip then the metal ones... however I still get cold fingers...

Its an art I tell you... filling butane lighters... only the best can master it... (note: I haven't mastered it... lol)

I use the plastic adaptors that come with the fuel.

There is one that fits perfect. I never have blow back with the Vector.

I would make sure that you got a god conection before you push down.

I've never used any adapters to fill any of my lighers.
