torch lighter problem

I know I've got a brand new lighter from the group buy but I've also got an older one with a problem.

Just filled it up and it still sputters and makes noise like gas coming out but not burning. It lights, burns about 1 second an then goes out. Do I have to completey bleed it before refilling? It holds about as much as the pb207 so I hate to bleed it completely.

Or does it more likely need compressed air to blow out the burner?

I filled it with the same butane as the pb207 (vector) and filled it about 2 minutes after filling the 207 that works fine.

Thanks

Re: torch lighter problem

Try adjusting the flame level. I've had this problem in the past when the flame was set too low.

Re: torch lighter problem

I’ve had the same problem and the only cure was bleeding the tank and refilling it. Nice pic of Bullock, Deadwood is the best.

Re: torch lighter problem

I have also had this problem, and blowing the burner/jets out with a can of air fixed it.

Re: torch lighter problem

you probably have some dust on the ignition and there might be air bubbles in the fuel tank. i reccommend cleaning the ignition with a small pin and then emptying out the fuel tank with a pen then refill
