Porsche Design PD5

Hey,

I was just thinking, cause my torchlighter from Colibri broke a couple of days ago, and I need a new lighter.

I´ve read upon some reviews on this lighter and it looks to me as a winner. I also had the chance to play with it yesterday at my local cigarshop...totally different quality that I´m used to

My question is if someone here @ CS are able to maybe get this lighter to a good price? Or could someone help me out to where I can buy it at the best price? I live in Sweden as some of you know, but it´s very expensive here so if I can save some money then I much rather do that.

I´m very interested in the Porsche Design PD5 Micro Torch Lighter Burgundy Silk.

I was kinda shocked when I saw this design.

Sorry, couldn't help but chuckle at this.
You and just about everyone that owns one.
I have three that don't work.
Colibris should not come with leather cases.
They should provide you a box to ship it back for repairs instead.

BTW, that lighter looks sweet.

Re: Porsche Design PD5

I have a PD5 with the matching leather case. Very small and lightweight. Even in the case it's still smaller than a DuPont Extend. Works well!
I think there is a member here, Ron CS or roncarlos that may sell these. You may want to contact him.

Re: Porsche Design PD5

that is a great looking lighter.

I havent had the opportunity to test one of those but in terms of purchasing I would just search for them online and order, no need to bother looking for a local shop.

also i recently purchased a PD6 and wasnt happy (returned) , the thing only lit about half the time... very disapointing. I will try an Xtend in the future but given the results on the PD6 Im hoping the Xtend isnt the same way.

But the PD5 seems to have different type of system so hopefuly you wont have problems with it!

Yeah, for me it was between the PD5 and the Dupont Xtend. The PD5 is a great looking lighter but I decided to go with the Xtend based on board comments.

Re: Porsche Design PD5

the thing I don't like about the Extend are the ergonomics. For me, it's awkward to use. I have one, but rarely use it.

Re: Porsche Design PD5

yeah the Xtend is a little different in terms of its operation but I like the fact that they dont burn the tips of your fingers, then again it doesnt look like the PD5 will have that problem.
