Butane Replacement for a Zippo

I was wondering if anybody knows where I could purchase a butane replacement for my Zippo... I'm not a big fan of the smell the lighter fluid leaves, and I was told that you can buy a butane torch replacement, but I don't know where to buy them... any suggestions?

Re: Butane Replacement for a Zippo

I use the .99 cent replacements from the local gas station. The come in cool clear colors like blue, red, clear, and yellow. You can remove the metal cover and open the valve about a turn more and replace the cover.

The flame is large enough for any guage cigar, and if you forget you have it in your pocket at the airport, you just toss it.

The only problem is it's not windproof. That's the best replacement I've found, plus they have actually been more reliable. heh heh.

Re: Butane Replacement for a Zippo

I've been eyeing this replacement since I have a few extra zippos laying around the house.

Has anyone on here used one and if so is it a decent lighter?

Re: Butane Replacement for a Zippo

I have used a Blazer insert for nearly a year without a problem. I got an OtterBox travel case for it, and took it on a plane without a problem (even filled!). It is been VERY reliable. It is not my everyday lighter (Prince PB-207), but it always does the job when called upon. It is nice if you have a collection of Zippos since you can swap them out so easily.
Pick one up, they are so cheap you won't regret it

Re: Butane Replacement for a Zippo

By far, IMHO, the best torch light made. Good sized flame that also lights without any problems at all. Throw away your Colibris, you will no longer need them with this lighter!

I could have written this post word-for-word. This is the best solution I've come up with for traveling and smoking but it doesn't replace my PB-207s for daily use--though I do take it out occasionally in the evenings or times I think the PB-207 looks too "industrial".

I'm either going to pick up one of these inserts today, or head to Wal-Mart and get a Ronson... but thanks for the info, guys!
