Tobacco Airfreshener

I love the smell from opening a fully stocked humidor, or tobacco pouch. I keep a pouch and pipe in the center council of my truck so I'm never far from a good smoke. I've found myself opening the center council just to smell the tobacco. This got me wondering, could I put some pipe tobacco into a nylon pouch and toss it under my seats for an airfreshener? Besides wasting perfectly good tobacco, is there a problem with doing this? I've never let any pipe tobacco it in the open air and I never keep it around very long so I don't know how long the scent would last, but some airfresheners I've tried have lasted less then a day. Would it attract bugs?

Re: Tobacco Airfreshener

I've actually wondered the same thing and after receiving 2 pounds of the stuff from an Altadis offer 6 months ago I've got WAY more than pipe tobacco.

Re: Tobacco Airfreshener

I did a little research on this topic on google. It appears in 1997 Boating Magazine did an article on how to use pipe tobacco as an air freshener, sadly the article was nowhere to be found online.......

Re: Tobacco Airfreshener

I think it would dry out too fast and lose it's scent until you humidified it with a sprayer and then it will dry out too fast then you would have to humidify it......viscious cycle
