I've read about the Haier cooler ect. and it looks good. But, is there anyone who uses a thermoelectric wine cooler? What has been your experience with a thermoelectric unit? Jon

I've been utilizing a thermo electric device to cool my cabinet during the hot summer months. It's connected to a thermostat much like those used to control temperature in regular households.

Did you put your thermoelectric device together yourself or did you buy it? If you purchased it where did it come from?

Thanks

Just an encouragement to go ahead and spend the extra dollars to cool your cigars. I keep my home at about 73 during the summer and I have found that to be way too high to maintain the subtle nuances of my sticks. Spring for whatever cooling system you like, it will make the difference in your sticks.

coolers

What sources do you recommend for thermoelectric coolers? How many BTU's are neccessary. Considering most of these units are designed to cool much more than just a few degrees, I wasnt sure how many BTUs I needed. My Humidor is 36x60x18. Where does the trade off on insulation vs condensation come into effect. I really dont want to have to insulate the inside because of having to reline in cedar. The sides right now are 1in thick, 3/4 solid oak, vapor barrier, spanish cedar. Wouldnt the spread on on and off temps on most home thermostats be too high?

thanks
