About time for a new humi ...

So, I go to the B&M ... pick up 15 sticks ... get home & open my humi, only to find that I have room in there for about 2. The rest get tossed into the tupperware with a water pillow.

This is an ongoing problem that I'd like to rectify, so I am looking to buy another humi. I don't want to make a poor purchasing decision, so I come to the wisdom of CS.

The price is right on this one, at $129.99 for a 300-count ...

I like the furniture-look ... $159.00 for a 300-count here ...

Again ... furniture ... spiffy ... in a 500-count for under 2 bills $199.00

Hrmmmmmmmmm ....... Of course, another option altogether, is a coolerdor ... and though that's probably my best option for the price, I really like the asthetics of a wood humi. and want one that will last me a while. I currently have a 75 count that when I posted first, eveyone said "go bigger"

hehe ... anyhoo ... what's your thoughts on these selections, and if there are better options that you can give me, I'm all ears....or, at least that's what my father said when I was born ... "Good grief, the kid's all ears" ... (shrug)

Feel free to PM me with any particulars ... this would do me quite well, methinks.

Go with something that you can store boxes as well. You will want to store and age a few boxes of your favorites.

Go with the Footlocker if you want something fancy and go with the coolador if you want a lot of space for short money.

Thanks for all who replied. I decided to go with Mark at Cigarmony and the humi he displayed above, along with some 65% beads.

A fine choice and I'm sure a fine humi from Mark....

However:
9/18/06 - 9:11 AM till 12/04/06 and about 65 cigars stored in 77 days or 0.844 cigars stored per day. Now 250 (about how many cigars will fit in the new humi) divided by 0.844 is 296 days until the new humi is full. Now the multipliers: single/live alone is a divide by 1.2, five snails? is a .75, lots of snakes is a neutral 1.05, 8 fish .90, a few crabs (not the transmitable type?) .87, "wiseazz" 1.5 which, by my calculations means you'll need a new humi by 267 days -- not bad! Enjoy your new humi, it looks good!

Oh, wait, I forgot the "killer" stomatopod named "Guido". How could I do that....says here in the book that is a 1.8 factor...267days/1.8 = 148 days before you need a new humi....

It's the dreaded double wiseazz factor!

You could build you a couple of coolidors for that price and get more space. Just a thought.

Most of the humidors on all of these cigar accessory websites come from the same two place (imported).

I have chosen the company that has the best quality for the price.

Yeah .. I thought of that before looking into traditional humidors. There's just something about a nice wooden humi that makes me smile.
