I've only had one shipment sent to me vacuum sealed. All four wrappes were cracked. After recieving hundreds of cigars that were not vacuum sealed with no damage whatsoever, I really cannot see the need for more than good packaging with bubble wrap. At least your wrappers looked like they survived.

Hmmm... I just got a vacuum sealer - thanks for the heads up so that I know not to destroy cigars with it!

Re: Vacu Sealer - Use With Caution

I had a vendor send me a cab that had been sealed so tight the lid was severely bowed. When I cut the bag open it hissed for a looong time. There was some pretty serious damage to 6 sticks and some less severe damage on another 12. The vendor made good on them, but I think I will tell him to just seal them next time.

BTW Mark, I have the same sealer as you, but mine is white with a blue stripe

Yup wish this was around about a week earlier. I hope the cigars I sent out last week made it ok. If not I will replace any bad ones or all. You know who you are. Just pm me if any things wrong.

I wonder if you can bring them back around by storing them at a high humidity until they swell up and then slowly bring the humidity back to normal?

Another option, cut them into 1" sections and smoke them in a pipe

Such sad pictures. I think we should have a moment of silence.

Re: Vacu Sealer - Use With Caution

Update some time after the fact - I made Darrel whole; he kindly sent me back the jerky sticks and they came back fine (puffed back put) after several months of rest.
I still have a couple of the M d' o #1s and they are fine. They smoked OK as well.
