Re: Ceramic Blade Cigar Cutter

Boker makes knives from ceramic and some places make kitchen cutlery from it. It is supposed to never need sharpening, but dont drop them they will shatter, very brittle. I dont see why not for a cigar cutter.

I was thinking the same. Supposed to stay sharp but like livwire68 said, don't drop it.

Let us know how well it works.

Ditto on the brittle nature or ceramic. While it's true the blade may never need sharpening, any shock to the blade will shatter it.

Re: Ceramic Blade Cigar Cutter

Got one, a Ceracut, and it doesn't work very well. While the blade is fairly sharp, it kinda squishes the head of the cigar as it cuts. I never got a clean cut. It may be because it is a single blade cutter instead of a double with opposing blades.

How much is the one you're looking at?

If it's alot of dough, make sure they have a good return policy.

Re: Ceramic Blade Cigar Cutter

Well, let me know how this one works, would you? It is a unique cutter and if it actually worked, I would like it. It weighs next to nothing and is great for carrying in your pocket.
