low temps ??

low temps ??

hey guys I am a newbie here, but I built a humi for a friend that is in his basement (I will post a pick of the humi) the humidity is fine but the temps range between 61 - 64 degrees never over 64. Anyone see any problems with the low temps ???

i've since moved my humi's down to my basement as well.

i agree with IHT. i have my "long term storage" in a cooler in the basement now.
the intent of the "long term" cooler was not to be opened, but that isn't working out so well

Again, I completely agree. I've always had great luck with temps a little lower than the prescribed 70 when storing longterm.

I'm told low temps can slow aging but I think they'd need to be alot lower than that to cause any problems.

yeah those temps are perfect. the aging process is slowed if it gets below 65 but id take slower aging with a beetlefree guarantee anyday.
