Re: Revolution Cigar Scissors - 100% Gimmick ?

just figured it out.

if we got 10 it would be $18.10 each
which would include priority shipping w/ dc
and the pp fees for each person.
this is figuring 1 per person. I am sure
several could be shipped for the 4.55 usps rate
if someone wanted multiple.

through the auction it is 20.98

Re: Revolution Cigar Scissors - 100% Gimmick ?

I've got a couple a sets of these and liked them so much I've given a few out for Christmas. Mine have all cut great, portability is an issue, but they are well made and have a lifetime warranty. The only problem I have encountered is the screws holding the blades in place need to be tightened periodically. Other than that, I use them everyday with no problem.

gotta keep em at home tho... they're not very portable.
Yes, it was a Cuban Crafters Revolucion. I've cut at least 200 cigars with these scissors, have yet to end up with a torn or jagged wrapper.

Re: Revolution Cigar Scissors - 100% Gimmick ?

As stated before, I’ve cut a couple hundred cigars with one of these cutters, never a problem of torn or ragged wrapper.

When cutting a straight cigar I only remove the cap, sometimes I cut to thin and have to take a second swipe at it, when cutting figurado cigars you have to take more. Even then I have had no trouble with this cutter.

It occurred to me that those who’ve had problems using this type of cutter, are use to a guillotine/blade type cutter that would allow you to cut a cigar in half with a perfect cut.

I talked to my local shop owner today. He says if we order 10 he would sell for $15.00 each plus $3.00 shipping. So $18.00 delivered. If anyone is interested.

Re: Revolution Cigar Scissors - 100% Gimmick ?

Being that I'm new here, and to put everyone at ease. I think I have come up with an option that will make everyone more comfortable. If you are interested, post here, when we get to a quanity of 10, I will send a pm to all participants as to where to call and place the order. It's a local b/m here that I hang out at and the owner is a great BOTL. I will get all of the mailing info, you call and arrange payment, cc,check, MO, whatever you decide, and I will get them mailed out to everyone.
How does that sound to everyone?

Dang Boone, That’s one wicked looking cutter! This may be a dumb question, but is that the scissors they were talking about in the resurrected thread?

Re: Revolution Cigar Scissors - 100% Gimmick ?

I bought 10 of these a while back. Keep one on my desk. It's mesmerizing to just open and close them. Think I'll try cutting a cigar with it next week.

They work fine. Like most multi blade cutters you need to cut relatively fast and not create a pinch/pull effect.
