Extreme Cedar Smell in New Humi

I recently bought a new 300 count humi and it has a VERY strong cedar smell to it. Not that its a bad smell, but it seems like all the cigars I put in it have taken on the cedar smell. Now no matter what brand cigar I smoke they all have the exact same pre-light taste to it - CEDAR! No more tasting the sweet pre-light cognac flavor of Opus', or the burnt raisiny flavor of VSGs, just CEDAR!

As far as the taste of the cigars go I can definately detect the cedar flavor while smoking as well. I was wondering if anyone ever experienced the same thing with a new humi and will the cedar smell disapate a little as time goes on? Like I said, its not a bad smell, but I don't want all my cigars tasting the same!

Thanks,
Smokem

My desktop was like that, I placed baking soda in there for a week and it was gone..

I bet it will dissipate pretty quickly even without the baking soda. Just fill it up with cigars.

One of mine was the same way. I finally just loaded it up with some lower end smokes and it settled down. It's fine now.
