Question Anyone know a good lighter?

Got a question for you all.

I usually light my cigars with sulfur free matches but I'm realizing that it's costing me too much to keep buying the matches, as well as time.

I used to have a cheap zippo but liked the matches better. I'm ready to go back.

Does anyone know of a good cigar lighter that sells in Toronto, ON, Canada? My budget is between $50.00 to $100.00

It doesn't have to be too fancy, as long as it's wind resistant, which matches are not, my main reason of switching.

If anyone has any horror stories of brands I should stay away from, that would be usefull to know as well.

Thanks.

Re: Anyone know a good lighter?

I use the PB-207. It is functional, holds a lot of fluid and is durable. Multiple threads about the great lighters out there are at your finger tips in this board, but the one i mention works for me.

I use the Zippo torch insert and I absolutely love it.

Best lighter I have used. Going on two years with this one and not a problem.

Re: Anyone know a good lighter?

Thanks for your input. Keep em coming.

Zippo products are not my thing though.

Anyone know a good shop in Toronto to pick up the PB-207 as it seems this really is a good lighter. I'm currently checking around on the net, but if anyone knows one at a good price, let me know.

Re: Anyone know a good lighter?

One concern I have though on the PB-207.

I will be on the move quite a lot and will be putting this in my pants pocket. The bottom of the PB-207 looks easily breakable. Is this meant as a travel lighter?

What I'm really asking is if this thing will break?

Dupont XTend is pretty close to your $100 mark. Really enjoy mine.

Re: Anyone know a good lighter?

I have cheap $2.87 Ronson Blue jet from Walmart! It has been perfect it has withstood numerous trip out on the boat and dropped plenty of time. Also, refills nicely.

Re: Anyone know a good lighter?

My three favs (been using them for years and years)

ST Dupont X-tend (sleek and stylish and holds up well)
Blazer PB-207 (huge tank)
Solo Trek (dual flame)

Hope this helps

Re: Anyone know a good lighter?

Well...I think that the boys above me have summed it up pretty well.

But I would personally go for either a Dupont Extend or a Porsche...probably the last one since I love the design of the Porsche lighter

Whatever you do, do NOT buy a Colibri
