CO XL on battery

I just got my new CO XL and i am running it on battery power, I have no outlets close by, It just does not seem to do the job, set it to 68% and it will not go over 62% what is happening is I can hear the fan run only about 10 seconds and then goes off for 4 minutes then cycles again 10 seconds ,ect, ,ect, is this normal is the fan suppose to cycle like this and have no power on battery, I did try AC and it still cycled on and off but had much more power and cycled more often about every 2 minutes anyone have these experiences, Thank's buy the way my humidor is a 200 ct treasure dome with about 100 cigars.

It is normal. The Oasis runs less frequently when running on battery power to conserve battery life. I run mine on AC and it works better and faster in maintaining the humidity.

Mine runs on a/c and cycles regularly also, sounds to me like maybe you box is not sealed very well,if it has no glass on it and is solid all the way around.turn on a flashlight place inside close box and walk into a pitch dark room,if you see light,it leaks...have my oasis in a cooler ran the wire out the drain hole and plugged into wall.....good luck

Re: CO XL on battery

The fan cycles to keep from heating up and raising the humidors temperature. Leave it alone for 24-48hrs and then check the humidity. You might be checking it too often for it to keep up.

Re: CO XL on battery

The winter weather can also cause some humidity problems even with the Cigar Oasis
