Re: Spanish cedar

You might be able to find cedar at either of those stores or you could use an empty cigar box made of cedar. A few vendors here sell empty boxes. Check with Cigarmony.com.

Re: Spanish cedar

If all you need is 24X4 I think I got you covered. I have a large stack of Spanish cedar in the garage. I just need to check to make sure it is 4 inches wide. One more thought, I believe it is 1 inch thick, will that work?

Re: Spanish cedar

Be very careful working with Sp Cedar. If you have to cut or sand it, wear a respirator. Not one of those paper things but a real one. The dust can be very unhealthy for you.

Good luck and this thread is gonna be worthless without pics!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Spanish cedar

I don't disagree I emailed them a question on when this particular item would be in stock again and many days later I am still wondering.

I have ordered some trays from another company that posts often on this form and thinking about taking one of the trays and converting it into a CO holder as the price is about the same.

Re: Spanish cedar

Good question. Go into your local Home Depot and ask them if there is a wood specialty store in your area. Contrary to what a lot of people will tell you on this site, a lot of the cigar boxes are made of CANADIAN cedar. While in Havana, I went on a tour of the H.Upmann factory, and they informed me that they use Canadian cedar for all their boxes (all montecristo's & Cohiba's for example).
