Current Humidor Deals?

One of my coworkers mentioned today that his tupperware storage isn't working out so well and he's getting some mold. I hooked him up with a tube of beads, which should help, but he mentioned that he needs a desktop humi. Last month I saw several good deals for discount humi's, or humi's free with a sampler. Does anyone know of any current deals? A little 25-count is probably perfect, the guy rarely keeps more than a dozen sticks at a time. Thanks.

Re: Current Humidor Deals?

Right now I have the Gurkha humi from CI and a giant tupperdor,
so I was thinking of these to upgrade the tupperdor.

At cheaphumidors.com:
$17 for 15ct: http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Merchan...ode=SMHUMIDORS

$22 for 20ct: http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Merchan...ode=SMHUMIDORS

$22 for 50ct: http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Merchan...ode=SMHUMIDORS

The last link seems to be the best deal.
Also, my coworker bought from them before with no problems so no worries.

Hope I was of some help.

Re: Current Humidor Deals?

Just remember, with almost ANY humidor 'deal', you're not going to get a very good hygrometer and your humidification device is going to be a piece of floral foam in a plastic box. So, be prepared to add the commensurate amount of beads and a digital hygro.

As I posted on another thread, Holt's has(d) a load of 40-50 count Savoy humis for about $20. They are a pretty nice box, and add a digital and beads, and damn fine small humidor for around $50.

If you're gonna use the floral foam, you really need to use the 50/50 PG/Distilled Water, because the foam will mold faster than your smokes.

Keep hunting, there are good deals out there.

No worries about the beads, I already hooked him up with a one ounce tube of 65%. As for the hygro, I realize they're bad, but I figure if the beads are maintained properly then a cheapie hygro will be fine for now.

Re: Current Humidor Deals?

try cbid in the merchandise section-they usually have the ones they throw in free w/box purchase in the catalog going for $7 to $20-i wouldn't go higher than $12 or $15 personally, keep in mind there's s&h-some of these hold 25, some hold 50 i think-probably the cheapest route
