3 large humis or 1 extra large humi

OK to understand where I’m coming from I own a great armoire that is in my office. I’ve got my current humi stashed in there currently and I’ve begun to think about getting a couple more large humis to stash in there (say 3 300 count). Its either go that route or Aristocrat here I come. This armoire could easily hold 100 boxes on its own and the idea has occurred to me to hire a carpenter to turn it into a cooling humidor.

OK stop the laughing! That’s just not polite. I know I said I’d only smoke one a month but the ones I’m smoking now are the ones I would have smoked in June 1967. I clearly have about 500 cigars due me before I even get to May 2007. Anyway….

So what do you guys think? Get three largish size humis to hold me for the moment or simply blow my wade on the Aristocrat?

That's a no-brainer. Get the Aristocrat.
While you are at it, pick one up for me, too.

Check that out, someones already done what you want to do. I'd go that route. The more humidors you have the more maintenance you need to do. Some people may get into the maintenance aspect of it but I'd rather just smoke the stogies.

Buy the biggest humidor you can afford... somehow the collection always grows well beyond the space you have...

Get the big daddy. Looks great, everything in one place, less maintenance.

Post a picture of the Armoire and it will help guage it. If it is fairly open and square inside..... I'd convert it. It's not as hard as it seems. $600 or under vs. $3000 or more.

If money is no object.... I agree with most -> go for the Aristocrat.

Re: 3 large humis or 1 extra large humi

I may be the only one but I would rather have three large desktops than one really big one.

For me, I think one of my favorite thing about cigars (other than smoking of course ) is maintaining and organizing them. I think it would be fun having one humi specifically for CC's, one for premium NC's and one for value cigars.

Just my

I saw that thread as well, thats what pushed me to bring this up. Not to disbarage his work but the armoire is Ethan Allen custom, if I humirized it I'd have to send it out to a carpenter to do to have any chance of ending up with what I want. In the end counting the $3500 in the piece it would probably be cheaper to simply but the Aristocrat.

I do think that having 3-4 humis would serve me OK if I could get Humis that allow for the storage of 3-4 boxes each alonbg with some loose ones. Does such a thing exist?

Re: 3 large humis or 1 extra large humi

I'm thinking I'll start with 3-4 of the 300-400 stick humi's, I'm going over to the B&M to look at a few this evening.

Re: 3 large humis or 1 extra large humi

Might as well just grab a Klugsidor and be done with it. There will never be enough space. I'd go with a Cabinet, or if on a tight budget a couple 100+ qt coolers.
