Re: Humi Fan 101
I just picked up the parts for this little setup and threw it together in about 20 mins. Running the wire through the drain hole of my vino was easy as I already had a wire going out for my CO. Little tape action and it was right through. Wired it up with a quick connect like explained and I'm using about 4.5 volts for a nice speed, but quiet fan!!
Thanks for the tutorial on setting this one up!!!

Re: Humi Fan 101
Awesome post Maco! Thanks much for the info and pics! I just bought a cabinet munidor and want to have a fan to gently cirulate the air. Lots of guys use the oust fans, but I was looking for something like what you built. Now I know what materials I'll need and how to put it together. Kudos on your efforts and sharing!

Re: Humi Fan 101
Awesome thread.
And not to bump, but i have a quick question: I purchased a 120ct humidor, should be here today. I have an old 12v computer fan (3.125"x3.125"). Would it be worth putting a fan in in one as small as my 120ct or save it for my tupperdore? (which I see myself needing between now and when I "upgrade") I have a programmable lamp timer and firgured that a humi that small would only a need a few 15 min runs a day. So what do you guys think?

Consrtucted one Myself as well
Here's what I used for my tupperware > 88mm 12v .18 amp computer fan (eBay $3.99 shipped) > Intermatic Digital lamp Timer (Homedepot $11.00 - [20 Prog. on/off]) > AC/DC Adapter - cell Phone Charger 5 volts .3amps (had an extra lying around) Runs almost totally silent

Re: Humi Fan 101
What I did was screw 2 fans back to back blowing in opposite directions, so that the air will go both ways. Just kidding, this is an awesome thread. I am having some humidification issues in my foot locker humidor. Thanks for the great info and ideas.
