Hygrometer question

I just calibrated my hyrgometer and it read at 69% on a 75% Humidipak test. So i turned the screw so that the hygro read 75%. When I read it from now on in my humi, do I still need to add 6% to whatever its reading? Thanks for any help.

Re: Hygrometer question

Nope. You just added the 6% to the reading so that 75% reads 75%.

Nope, if ya adjusted it as soon as you took it out of the boveda, ya should be good to go, you could always recalibrate just to make sure.

Is this an analog hygrometer?

Re: Hygrometer question

Thanks for the help. I bought a digital hygro and now my humi is reading 66% and 70 degrees. I am at peace. Man it's amazing how easy it is to go OCD about your humi.

Re: Hygrometer question

You're right about OCD and humidors and their contents. You'll be much more at ease now that you use a digital hygrometer.

Yeah, after way too much time calibrating analog hygros that seemed to change all the time on their own, I gave up and got a digital which has worked perfectly (that's why I had the extra calibration kit).

Peace is good.

Re: Hygrometer question

Thanks again for the calibration kit. I am actually going to use my newly calibrated analog hygro for my tupperware overflow box. Thanks again for the kit and the three bodyguards you sent to protect it!
