I'm making a coolerdor now (I'll post pics soon) and I just bought 1/2 lb of beads. my question is: my cooler is pretty small and I only need about 3oz of beads, but I bought 8 (I think there are 16oz to a lb...it's been a while with math)...will putting the whole 1/2lb of beads in the cooler hurt anything? Since they are designed to not just humidify, but also dehumidify if over 65% I'm guessing I'd be cool...but I just want to make sure.

Quick question, is it bad to put varnished boxes in a coolerdor? I noticed a lot of people mentioning unvarnished boxes, is there a reason for this?

Also, how can you tell if a box is varnished, is it just shiny and stained?

You can never have too many beads. (Unless you run out of room for cigars)

It's 62% RH in the office right now. Two cabs at 65% one at 67% I've got the 67% open to let the beads dry out a bit.

Seasonal changes are an issue with my cabs. Should be less so with coolers though.

How much beads do I need for a 120 qt. cooledor? I just found one at walmart for $40 bucks, so it's time to set her up! (And get some more inventory of course)
