Cooling plates in an end table humi?

I'm thinking of getting something that looks nicer than a wine fridge, like a Montegue end table cabinet, but I'm still worried about temps.

Anyone installed thermoelectric cooling plates in theirs? How does it work? Can you post pics? I remember seeing this a while back, but can't find it again...

Havn't done it myself but I know from experience on this subject there is a ton of info, try searching for "cooling" or "thermoelectric" and you should get hours of reading pleasure.

Thanks, but I have been searching for some time now, and understand the fundamentals.
I'm just curious if anyone has ACTUALLY done it and how well it works, and what drawbacks may be...

Pete, RGD has gone through the entire exercise. I'd considered the same with Montegue, but am holding off until I know the temperatures can't be kept without installing the TEC.

My thought on positioning the cooling unit would be behind the singles drawer if there is enough space... Cold air drops, warm air rises, so it should cool the best in this manner. Anyhow check out RGD's link. It's very detailed.

Pete -

Be glad to share any information that I can. Prefer to do so by email though - address is on the web pages in the link.

Mine works great as is - but I am making a few small changes.
