Reccomend me a Hygro Meter

Im tired of my analog and I got some cash. So, im looking for a digital, and it needs to be small and very accurate and relaiable. Thanks

Small- because I have a small humidor (also if anyone knows any big humidors for very cheap, lemme know [not interested in coolerdors])

Re: Reccomend me a Hygro Meter

Inexpensive is relative.
What are you looking to spend?

Have you looked on cheaphumiodr.com or something like that.

I just received my 300ct yesterday. I got it for something like $166 delivered.

I believe they have all different price ranges

CubanCrafters is where I got my first one and they are not too bad either.

Good luck to ya. I know how it feels

Re: Reccomend me a Hygro Meter

I'd recommend a wireless hygrometer.

Unless you have a glass top,
it is alot easier to check on the humidity without loosing all this moisture everytime you open the lid.

Think they have a couple at Cigarmony.com

Did you salt check your analog. If not might want to before you buy a digital. I had heard all the stories here of all the problems with the analog hygro. so much to my surprise when I checked mine it was dead on. I have checked it 3 times and was perfect each time. Yay more money for smokes.

Re: Reccomend me a Hygro Meter

I have one of these in my desktop at the office. At home I have A Western Digital in my glasstop humidor and one in the cooler. I also keep a wireless one in the cooler so I don't have to open it.

Re: Reccomend me a Hygro Meter

For Hygro's, I have the radio shack wireless center ($39) with 3 remote sensors (each about $7, about the size of a pack of cigarettes)

For a nice humi, I have a Savoy Khaya XL (150 count). You can get quite a few sticks in there... You can find them for $180-200. Made by Ashton. Really quality for the price, IMHO.

Here's what the Savoy Khaya line looks like. The XL is on the bottom.

Re: Reccomend me a Hygro Meter

I second the Savoy's. Very good construction, hardware and seal for the money.

Try the round calibration model hygro, they are very small and work incredibly well.

Hope this helps

Re: Reccomend me a Hygro Meter

I'm a big fan of the oregon scientific (compatible with the old RS ones) wireless hygros. I used to have the RS version and just picked up the Oregon Sci's from cigarmony and it works great. All accurate within 1% (and a better range than my old RS units) They do take up a little more room than the small round ones, but that's why I use coolers!

Re: Reccomend me a Hygro Meter

Go to the pet store and get the little one for reptiles.

I've got a calibration/test set and the one I got from the pet store was dead on and the "cigar" ones were larger, more expensive and + or - 3%.
