Tupperware Conditions
I have only 1 small 15-25ct. humidor. So, I put all of my cellophane wrapped sticks in it; and all of my naked sticks in a Ziplock tupperware bowl. Well, my humidor stays fine at about 72.5 F, 69% RH. It has beads in it. But, my tupperware has a Boveda 69% packet. Now, these are lying right next to each other, so I dont know why there is such a big diffrence in temperature, but my tupperdor is clocking in at 67.9F, and only 62 % RH.
Any...ideas? Thanks ![]()

Re: Tupperware Conditions
Did you buy a real 69% boveda packet or are you using one of the thin ones you sometimes get when you buy cigars?
As for the temperature, I have no idea. I assume you are using different thermometers (different brands)? I use the Western Digital Caliber III thermometer/hygrometer and in terms of temperature, mine are always within one degree of each other.

Re: Tupperware Conditions
All tupperware is not created equal. Some can be quite leaky around the rim. You could rub some bee's wax on the male side of the flange to tighten that up a bit.

Re: Tupperware Conditions
that AND the posibility that the Tupper you are using has a snap-on lid, can both contribute to your problem . Snap-on, in my experience, will never seal as well as most screw-on lids.

Re: Tupperware Conditions
It is probably old and no longer producing 69% RH. I tried one of these in my 15 count travel humidor that seals extremely well and it was only reading around 60%.
When I used a 69% packet from a new Fuente humidibag, it worked perfectly.
